Event Description:
Pack your bags and join Life Your Way for an unforgettable weekend away as we head to the beautiful Hunter Valley for the iconic Red Hot Summer Tour!
This three-day Get Connected Retreat has been designed to combine live music, travel, community participation, and shared experiences in a supportive group environment. Throughout the weekend, participants will have the opportunity to build independence, strengthen friendships, and enjoy one of Australia’s premier outdoor concert experiences.
The highlight of the retreat is attending the Red Hot Summer Tour, where we’ll enjoy an incredible lineup of Australian artists in a relaxed outdoor setting. Outside of the concert, we’ll explore the Hunter Valley, share meals together, enjoy the local scenery, and spend quality time connecting as a group.
This retreat focuses on developing confidence in new environments, encouraging social engagement, practising daily living skills, and supporting participants to actively participate in mainstream community events aligned with their individual NDIS goals.

Our Retreats are designed to provide participants with meaningful opportunities to build independence, develop social connections, and participate in their community through shared experiences. To make our retreats as transparent as possible, here’s how the weekend will operate:
- NDIS Supports – Your NDIS funding will cover the support hours provided by our staff throughout the retreat, along with transport kilometres travelled during the trip where applicable under the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
- Accommodation & Event Tickets – Accommodation and Red Hot Summer Tour concert tickets are participant expenses and will be paid prior to departure to secure your place on the retreat.
- Meals – Participants are responsible for the cost of their own meals throughout the weekend.
- When dining individually or where bills can be easily separated, participants will simply purchase their own meals on the day.
- Where we prepare meals together for sharing at the accommodation, or dine as a group where individual billing isn’t practical, Life Your Way will cover the upfront cost. The total will then be divided equally between participants and invoiced following the conclusion of the retreat.
- NDIS costs do not cover the cost of staff meals, but Life Your Way will cover individual meals purchased by staff; group meal costs will be invoiced with the group cost.
- Spending Money – Participants should also bring additional spending money should they wish to purchase drinks, merchandise, snacks, or other personal items during the weekend.
This approach allows us to keep the retreat running smoothly while ensuring costs are shared fairly and transparently. If you have any questions about how participant contributions or NDIS-funded supports apply to this retreat, our team is always happy to help.
