At Life Your Way, we offer a variety of programs and events designed to support your goals and enhance your experience. While many activities are provided at no charge, some require a contribution to cover expenses such as tickets, accommodation, or meals. Below is an overview of client contributions and the associated cancellation terms.

No Charge Events

Certain activities and events are offered at no cost to you. These may include standard program activities or events where expenses are covered by Life Your Way.

Non charge events will likely have a meal component which is explained below.

Cancellation terms

No cancellation fee applies to no-charge events. However, please inform us if you are unable to attend so that we can manage resources effectively.

Pay in Advance

For events where we need to secure tickets, seats, or other resources in advance, payment must be made at the time of booking. This ensures that your spot is reserved and that we can plan accordingly.

Cancellation terms

Cancellations for events where payment is required in advance must be made at least 7 days before the event to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days may not be eligible for a refund due to prior commitments for tickets or seats unless your spot can be resold.

Overnight Trips

For overnight trips, you will need to cover the costs of meals, accommodation, and any related expenses. These costs will be clearly outlined at the time of booking and must be paid in full before the trip. We will issue a non refundable deposit at the time of booking and then a balance invoice once final costs are confirmed.

Cancellation terms

Cancellations for overnight trips must be made at least 14 days before the trip to receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days may result in a partial refund, depending on expenses already incurred.

Retreats

For retreats which are classified as Short-Term Accommodation (STA), there is no out-of-pocket cost to the participant. These retreats are designed to provide a break while offering enriching experiences, and the costs are covered by the NDIS plan.

Cancellation terms

While no out-of-pocket costs are associated with STA retreats, we ask that you provide at least 14 days’ notice if you need to cancel, so we can offer the spot to someone else and manage resources effectively. Your NDIS finds are subject to the Short Notice Cancellation policy.

Client Controlled

  • Direct Payment at the Venue: If you prefer to manage your own expenses, you can pay for your meals directly at the location using your own cash or card. This option gives you the freedom to choose what you want to eat and pay only for what you order.
  • No Pre-Payment Required: There’s no need to make any advance payments or set up a meal allowance—simply bring your preferred method of payment to the event.
  • Freedom of Choice: This option allows you to decide on the spot what you’d like to eat, giving you full control over your meal choices and spending.

If you choose to pay for meals yourself, consider having your carer or primary support person share any spending limits, dietary preferences, or guidelines with us ahead of time. This way, we can help manage the experience and ensure your needs are met during the activity

Support Worker Controlled

  • Convenient Pre-Payment: For those who prefer not to worry about carrying cash or managing payments during the event, you can opt to pre-pay for a meal allowance at the time of booking the activity.
  • Budgeting Made Easy: By pre-paying, you can manage your budget more effectively, knowing that your meals are already covered. The pre-paid amount will be allocated towards your meals during the event.
  • Pre-Selected Meal Options: In some cases, pre-paying might give you access to a set menu or pre-arranged meal options, simplifying the decision-making process on the day of the event.
  • Group Coordination: For events where group dining is planned, pre-paying can help streamline the process, ensuring that meals are coordinated and everyone is served in a timely manner.

Using a pre-paid debit card is a great way to foster independence while still managing expenses. Simply let us know the acceptable spending amount for the activity, and we’ll ensure that everything stays within budget, giving you the freedom to enjoy your meal without worrying about the cost.
